About Charlene Lafountain

I am a QASP-S with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with special needs from the ages of 2-24, and their families across educational and ABA settings. I specialize in IEP advocacy, autism, intellectual disabilities, and high levels of behavioral challenges. Helping families navigate complex systems and secure the services their children are entitled to.

With a background in special education, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supervision, and leadership, I bring both clinical expertise and real-world experience to every case. I have worked as a special needs teacher, supervisor, and mentor, giving me a comprehensive understanding of how schools and service systems operate, and how to advocate effectively within them.

I provide direct, results-driven support through IEP guidance, parent coaching, and evidence-based behavioral strategies. My approach is practical, collaborative, and focused on outcomes that matter: increased independence, improved behavior, and meaningful progress in both school and daily life.

I am committed to empowering families to confidently advocate for their children while ensuring that no child is overlooked or underserved. I hold high standards for ethical practice, accountability, and measurable results.

If you are seeking knowledgeable, experienced, and effective advocacy and support, I am here to help

Private pay advocacy allows families to hire an independent advocate who focuses solely on their child’s needs rather than the school system. This leads to more personalized support, detailed record review, and stronger preparation for IEP meetings. Private advocates often have specialized knowledge in IEP law, autism, and behavior strategies, helping identify gaps in services.

Their support can boost parent confidence and create a more balanced, informed conversation during meetings. Although there is a cost, many families find the individualized guidance and stronger advocacy well worth it.
